Goodbye Vienna

We had a nice stay at the Hotel Atlanta.  It has that old world feel... a little hit of cigarette smoke ever present...

Our room was top floor two windows on the right of that fancy bay windows. That must be a nice big room.

Dinner at home, again...

You know... There are a few reasons we prefer to bring food back to the room for dinner...

Of course because it is way less expensive....

We LOVE the bread and cheese and its fun to shop for it in the markets...

It is so nice to take ones shoes off and relax after a long day...

I don't know... we all were just happy with getting back to the hotel and having good food there made it perfect.

Well... This is the last evening in Europe. As I write this Bob is almost asleep and the girls said they almost were too last I checked in on them 10 minutes ago.  I am going to miss this blogging everyday  thing, in a way.... Even though it does take a lot of time, I always kind of wanted to be a reporter since I was a kid and now I have had a real taste of what its like to have people looking forward to my next post and some of them giving me feedback.  It is fun.

Tomorrow we are not planning much for the morning.  We are packing and taking a cab to the airport by 11am.  Our flight leaves at 2:20pm.  Changing planes in Amsterdam and on to JFK.  We will arrive at JFK in NY by around 7:50pm... (don't count on that as accurate, Steve, who is picking us up...Emma's Dad... I am not looking at the papers now, just what I remember...).
I will take pictures for the blog and try to finish it when we get back... There may be a delay depending on when I get to some WiFi access and how the jet lag is going... But I know you need a conclusion to the story if you have been following so far.  Will do, just might be delayed.

Transfer to the tram...

Getting to know and feel comfortable in "our neighborhood" after only 3 days!

Got back on the underground...

Charlotte took this too.  Me reading the map...  I don't really look like this...  it must be because its raining and we are tired and bad subway lighting or something....

Cheeses

Here is a good photo Charlotte shot.  I had her send it to me so I could include in this blog.

Naschmarkt...?

Right after visiting the Secessionists, we stumbled upon this amazing market which went on and on with beautiful abundance.  It was raining and we were tired and looking for a tram or how to get back, and we were surprised by the beauty of this place so we wandered through.  I think Charlotte wasn't into the spontaneous thing, or just sick of me taking pictures as you can see by her expression here, but we ended up finding amazing bread, cheeses, olives, nuts, fruits and wine for dinner back in our room.

The front door ...Secessionists

Note the cool cast bronze turtle feet on the mosaic vase on the front steps...
